dinesh, i did miserable on the schweser tests. scored about mid 50. took the cfai exams and score about low to mid 70s. but i passed 4 (out of 4). so keep up the good work and it’ll pay off. cheers
I have done better on book 6 than CFAI. How does that happen?
delhirocks, I have the same problem with the marlboro man. I plan on bringing a few pieces of nicorette gum for test, just in case i stop concentrating. I have chewed these before and it does kind of help.
Here are my scores: Version I: 70% Version IV: 68% Might take one more next week
man, those GIPS are kinda annoying to remember… buy ya, those CFA samples, I didn’t think they were THAT different from the schweser questions, some of them still had a lot of calculation, especially for FSA (at least more than the 5 times that was suggested on this forum before), so these samples should be a good guage on the level of difficulty for the actual exam right? but some of the questions were far too easy though, I remember they had a few bond questions where you just calculate the PV of the bond, that’s like a 15 sec job with your BA2 calc…is this really it? oh, and are those exams fixed or pooled from a database of questions at realtime (so that you can get different set of questions for the same exam)? I think I saw 2 or 3 times where they had the same question in different exams… btw, Joey, remember that crusade you embarked on with CFA about their inproper use of confidence interval to predict value of a random variable with normal dist? guess what, they have those, I think I saw 3 or 4 of those from the sample exams, and worse yet, instead of looking up the prob table for the reliability factor, they used 3 std var for 99% (when it should’ve been 2.58), then I went back to the back, they gave that along w/ 2 std var for 95% and 1 std var for 68% in the introductory section on normal dist…no big deal, but fyi

I think it’s clear there is only so much room in my brain. If I learn something new, something else has to drop out… Now if only I could kick out all those Britney Spears lyrics, family birthdays, internet banking logon passwords and other detritus, maybe I could fit all this CFA stuff in as well…
