What scholarships do, is reduce the cost to aroudn USD300 and you are eligible if you program is not paid for by an employer. Ok, so I contacted my local society (*cough* hint look at my email address). For L1, I obtained a CFA student scholarship from my university upon application because of my academic grades and financial need. However, I’m writing L2 in 30 days and I it took 1.5 months and 3 follow-ups for the society to tell me they “gave their 10 scholarships/yr away to other societies”. Anyone have experience with these CFA Soceity Scholarships? The board of my local society is not offering these at the moment. Should I try next year to apply to other societies?
