I think CFAI was just trying ot think of another way to make the material just a little more boring. “I know, lets remove ALL color from the curriculum…”
thats fairly depressing that its black and white for sure. Does it read ok though, everything visible? Hows the rest of the quality?

The rest of the curriculum is identical to the formatting and quality of the 2013 curriculum, whereas the 2013 curriculum was vastly different from the 2012 curriculum (CFAI moved from Pearson to Wiley but stuck with Wiley this year).

Really disappointed with the whole curriculum being in black and white. Cannot understand the rationale behind increasing prices and not even sticking with the same quality. Those blue boxes were really relaxing to the eyes, guess I have to get myself some weird colored markers to make reading fun. On a positive note, unlike the level 2 material,my level 1 stuff was a little damaged at the top on arrival .
The eBooks look nasty. I have yet to order the prints, but likely I will. Not good knowing they will be black and white too. One silver lining is that they took just moments to download into VitalSource. Previously, I remember the download being a half-day affair. Same on my iOS device.
