CFAI curriculum black n white?

Hey guys, Just downloaded the e-books to my ipad. Is it just for me black and white?

how many pages

It’s not just you. Same on my iPad: color cover, everything else black & white.

cmon guys if they did the ebooks in colour all those blue pixels would really add up.

So now you need to rename the BBoxes as BWBoxes ???

It is really crappy! Some black and white charts are barely readable. I think I will complain to the CFAI and see what they say about it.

I think it’s BLUE and white…

if i’m remembering it correctly.

Nah its black and white… yukh!

Awesome. So now we’re paying extra for the print curriculum, and the electronic stuff isn’t even to snuff anyway! Let’s just hope the printed books aren’t b&w also.

I have received today my print curriculum and is in black an white…

Is this seriously an issue?

no, not an issue.

but it perfectly demonstrates how cheap CFAI is.

They make billions every year and can’t even provide a colorful copy?! what a joke.

I am wondering what kind of auditing process in place there. How are they spending the money?

If my memory works, curriculums in previous years have only one additional color (which is blue).

You are perfectly right. But in my opinion it has had a higher quality. It seems to me that they created a black & white version out of the original blue one this year to save some megabytes (and money if the printed version will be black and white too). With the result that for example on my tablet I see in exhibit 1 of the second book only the earnings but not the dotted line for the forecasts.

OK, I’m a geek: your question made me want to find out how many pages…

Just a little over 2,200 pages, not including glossaries etc.

Two biggies (volume 2 and volume 5 are > 500 pages); the other four are around 300 pages each.

We will have to start referring to Blue Boxes (BBs) as Gray (or Grey) Boxes (GBs).

yeah ebooks are black and white, what about print books? anyone received them yet?

My books are due to come in tomorrow it looks like so we will see, but one person in this thread has already said his print books are indeed in black and white…

Yes, print is black & white - mine came today.

Black is the new blue.

BB = black boxes from now on.
