This is my first post on this forum so I thank everyone who responds in advance. I’m writing L1 June 2016, having read the Schwesar notes I attempted to do the CFAI EOC Qs but unfortuately could not complete almost half of them. Is this normal? Are you guys able to answer all of those without any assistance? I’m going to re-read the topics but now I am stressing in terms of how deep I have to absorb the material.
Don’t freak out…it’s still early days and the key to success is repetition of practice questions and multiple reviews of the material based on your performance on those practice questions.
I highly doubt most people could read through the whole curriculum once, and then perform extremely well on the EOC questions; you tend to forget a lot of the details of your first read through.
You will find that you start to internalise the details on your second and third run through the tougher material
Flash cards could help you to easily go back to formulas, concepts or lists of things you need to know. Writting is good for memory. They are time and effort consuming but have good pay off in the long run.
