Looked at these questions for the first time tonight. WOW, didn’t expect them to be so straightforward. Got 24/27 right (89%). Was scoring in mid 50s to low 60s on Ethics on Schweser Book 6 Exams. Are these CFAI questions more similar to what the real exam questions will be like? If so, I’d be delighted! Would appreciate advice from any retakers…
if you are talking about the end fo chapter CFAI, my average for these Q’s and the CFAI online 49 Q practice exam was ~10-15% higher than i am scoring on CFAI samples and mocks for ethics questions.
Yes I was referring to the end of reading questions. So the actual exam questions are trickier I presume?
I dont know about the actual exam but i have found the mocks harder yes.
hey guys… where is the onlnie 49 CFAi ethics questions? you talking about mock and sample? running out of time to do all of schweser’s ethics Q’s (close to 500 questions i think… only did like 100 )
Yeah the back of CFA book questions are just what you should expect on the exam. Score 47/49 on the online ethics self test and have read the CFA ethics questions about 5 times. Luckily I’m not as strong in FSA so it usually evens out my overall score.
Where are these 49 ethics questions? Is tehre a link? I don’t see it under candidate toolkit
Yeah hopefully someone will post it here soon, I don’t know it myself but I know its been posted on here a bunch… someone give NY a hand?
The passing rates would be at least double what they are now if the test was at the level of the back of the chapter questions. That includes Ethics.
jlive, so are mock and sample best indicitation of difficulty level (including ethics)?
What are you talking about? I took the exam in June and that’s exactly what they’re like. The mocks I took right before the test were way harder than the exam. And the CFA institute sets the pass rate, it has nothing to do with the difficulty of the questions - ie. for level I they’re probably going to take approx top 35% of the scores. The number of people who pass has nothing to do with how hard the questions are.
It has nothing to do with the difficulty of the questions? Read up on the Angoff method. There’s a reason they dont assign a cutoff score upfront. They don’t know what’s considered a difficult vs easy question until they see how people score on it. At any rate, if the test is really at the same level as the back of chapter questions, that makes me feel really good for gametime.

(At 12AM…)The real thing doesn’t have the I only II only I&II III only crap. Should be slightly easier, if you remember your GIPS.
