CFAI Mock 2012 Q32 Morning Section

So far what I had seen in any hypotheses testing is that either you reject the null hypotheses or fail to reject. You never say accept alternative hypotheses. But in this question they have used work accept. Is that a problem? Or Is it referred in a different context?

i think it’s just a wording issue. but yeah, normally it’s worded as rejecting the null, cuz ideally, you’d WANT to reject the null, since the null “usually” means coeff equal to 0, which isn’t what you want. so it’s either reject the null or fail to reject (which means you’re forced to accept). so i guess either wording is fine.

These answers used to be wrong during level 1 as far as I remember. I don’t know what got changed.
