The worst thing for confidence before sitting this bloody exam is this forum. So much noise and trumpet blowing. Who cares what everyone else is getting, 90% of the time their reported scores are revised upwards before posting. This exam is not dependant on what other candidates get to very VERY large extent. If you are getting mid-high 60’s on schwesers you will be pleasantly suprised by the difficulty of the exam on Saturday. Play your own game, no one elses.
This is a huge problem around here. I honestly don’t know the effectiveness of announcing mock exam results since it doesn’t really help anyone else…and it effectively makes others think less of their own ability. For instance, why, other for the purpose of self glorification, does somone who score mid 80s, seek reassurances from people who have only scored in mid 60s, about his chances of passing the actual exam?
There’s a reason the CFAI does not include actual scores on test reports, and i presume it is to discourage situations where someone percives his ability as superior while another thinks less of themselves.
If you’re getting mid to upper 60’s on schweser exams you have a pretty good shot at passing, especially with a strong ethics section. MPS could be anywhere in the 60’s (prob over 65 though).
That being said it’s so annoying to see somebody ask if they are okay when they’re scoring over 80, you know the answer already!
4A5B1C of morning session, 8A2C in the afternoon session, overall a little more than 70%, get both C in Ethics and Professional Standards, really worry about the score, is it possible to pass with C in Ethics and Professional Standards?
Just a note on those scoring well. A good portion of the material will be covered at a greater level of depth for level II so it’s not like time is going to get wasted by ‘overly’ learning the material.
That being said, I feel like announcing your results is best suited for those scoring 55-70.
I sat the mock exam yesterday and came out with a 65% morning and 70% afternoon session.
So I’m hoping that with an average of 67.5% that will be enough.
But judging by the scores in this thread it would be below the average of these scores. Although there would probably be an upward bias in the scores posted here.
Well tomorrow its all going to coming down to a pass/fail and if I get a pass, in the words of Babe…
