Just took CFA 2012 Mock, got 78% on the am session and 70% on the pm for a 74% combined. Thought the PM was much tougher. Derivatives and econ are the toughest sections for me

TLDR: I am getting massacred in FRA and Equity Section, both of which are very important. With only 4 days to go, what do you guys suggest I should do?
Should I continue solving mocks and reviewing my mistakes or go through the FRA Schweser notes all over again?
Thanks guys. This forum has been v.helpful whatever be my result
I gave the CFAI mock today and scored 70% in AM and 67.5% in PM session(overall 69.16 %). scored badly in Econ and Equities (less than 50 %) in both the sessions.
Could someone suggest whats the best notes to go thru especially in these last few days for the above topics or where you are studying Econ and equities from ? M loosing stuff like pegs, market structures etc … but the topics/concepts that I have seen in CFAI mocks looks to be no where touched upon in any of the /questions I practised from(not sure about Schweser notes). All I have done is question practise only except watching some videos about the concepts.
Well
i think what haelped me is i did
a) All 4000 scswer q bank questions
b) ALL CFA book end questions
c) ALL elan questions
Now my speed is very good . I used to get 50% in quants when i started but now i am getting 90% in it.
Just do as many questions as possible. Readings dont help as much i feel.
Best of luck
Did the CFAI today. Overall, 74%

I don’t know why but corporate finance was one of my top sections in all the schwesers that I’ve done (first 4). Equity has been fairly consistent around the 60% range, but everything else is within a couple percent of my norm. I’m feeling alright about it, but still have work to do

The same thing happened to me, I scored much loweron equity and corporate finance on the CFA mock than the schweser mock. Strangely I scored higher on FRA.

Took the official mock last weekend, scored 72.5% on both tests.
Thought Ethics was tougher on the morning exam, but FI and EQ a bit tougher on the afternoon exam.
I’ve done the EOC questions, three Scweser tests and Ethics, FRA and Quant on Qbank. I think a bit more QBank and reviewing notes is the way to go before D-Day.
Best of luck guys, enjoy the last few days without a social life
I hope eco questions in exam are easier. It is a big headache
Vickey…Can you please share the old mock papers with me? email : raviiisc.kumar@gmail.com
I am in real despair, not being able to score above 60 %
Completly agree with you. Do you have any last minute suggestions for Eco as in how and what to revise quickly? I cant just get macroeconomics .
Congrats- chibwack. You seem to be in good shape. any thoughts on how one can improve ethics score? I never seem to get past the 11-13 out of the 18 questions on the tests. Many thanks.
Exact same score on both morning and evening exams (73.33%).
Econ seemed way easier on 2nd (50%–>100%) and ethics also seemed easier (67%–>89%).
Financial Statements killed me on the 2nd one (58% vs. 74% on the first).
I scored a 58% and 60% on the official CFA practice tests, so I’d say the full length mock exam is much easier than the short practices. It rattled my nerves on the practice exams when I received instant feedback on my answers as well…
I believe I’ve found two errors (or extremely poorly worded questions):
Econ #33 on 1st–> A delay in response to pricing makes a good LESS elastic. None of the answers are good, but the small budget answer is probably closest.
Equity #90 on 2nd–> The one that is LEAST likely to be contradicted is weak-form. If you prove that semi-strong doesn’t work, strong is automatically disqualified.
60% on the morning sesh. Lowered score before I did awful on the sections I did not review. Have reviewed all sections now, will do afternoon mock tomorrow and see how much I improve.
I got 69.17% on the morning session and 71.67% on the afternoon session for a total of 70.42%. I thought the afternoon session was significatly easier and expected to be in the 75%-80% range. A solid 7 of my incorrect answers were due to reading comprehension errors, I think I’d have hit expectations if I were less tired (I finished around 3:30am Eastern).
My best overal section was Ethics (86.11%), and my worst and only <50% was Deritatives (41.67%–not sure what happened, as I’ve done very well on practice questions in this area). FRA was meh. I should’ve done better and will on the real exam. I was very annoyed by some of the ones I missed, and need to do a better job reading the full question.
Overall, I thought the practice was maybe a tad harder than the QBank questions I’ve done and on par with the full Schweser mock I took a about 10 days ago (on which I got 55%!). Given my exhaustion and the improvement I’ve shown in such a short time, I think my study methods are working well. Just wish I’d purchased the Schweser material soon; the CFAI books are nearly useless, IMO. Going to take another mock tomorrow evening and a final during the day Friday, as I’ve taken the day off work.
Equity #90 on 2nd–> The one that is LEAST likely to be contradicted is weak-form. If you prove that semi-strong doesn’t work, strong is automatically disqualified.
I’ve been really thinking about this question as well and just having trouble wrapping my head around it. The only way “Strong” is the answer is if you rephrase the question like this:
The one that is LEAST likely to be contradicted is:
a) Weak
b) Semi-strong
c) My love of grape juice
So you can see that © has just absolutely nothing to do with what you’re discussing so that’s least likely to be contradicted, but I’m still pretty sure (a) is correct.
Hmm compratively with 83% i seem to have done well in cfa mock 2012
I just hope hardwork pays in the actual exam

I already posted about question 90, I am convinced it was wrong as well. The answer on the answer sheet directly contradicts what is in the CFA study texts.
I think question 33 was just very poorly worded. I read it about 10 times and could not figure out what answer C meant. But after reading the answer sheet it makes sense what they were looking for. When looking at Demand elasticty if the time allowed to react to price change is longer, it will have a higher elasticity.
I got 80% for morning and 83% for afternoon! I did well in ethics the weakest part is financial reporting 70% is that safe if I got this mark??
