How is everyone scoring on the CFAI mock exam? I’m talking about the PM-style test on their website.
Just took them for the first time and scored a 46/60 on both for a 76.7%. Feeling cautiously optimistic, but I know the item sets are easier so not getting my hopes up too high.
I’ve taken a few AMs, but scores there are difficult to feel great about. Scored a 70% on the 2014 with realistic grading. Thinking of it as a 65% assuming 5% of my score was a bit biased.
Any comments from Charterholders would be appreciated, as well. What scores were you posting on the item set questions in mocks/topic tests going into the exam?
I took 3rd round and scored 90 % on AM on Portal which is my ATH ever on CFAI Mocks.
I add even -10 % discount on my past AM results which are now 77 % on average to real exam terms due to biased self grading. And I am trying to be conservative.
I took it for the 3rd time. Each Mock exam I take more than 1 time as well as AM papers. I would take all Schweser Mocks again too but I am not able with this purchase option. Last year I was able.
How helpful do you think it is? I’ve debated doing all of the exams multiple times as well, but not really sure where the best time/point trade-off is. Between flashcards, Topic Tests, AM papers, PM mock papers, and old notes – there’s a lot to choose from.
Do you recall what you scored when you took it for the first time? I can’t imagine 90%.
Well. I think it’s helpful. I have been doing so since Level 1. Of course last results may be a bit biased not only to better knowledge than for recalled choices but it’ s not significant and also am trying to avoid such actions. Positive effect is that after each revision, results have been improved mostly to knowledge and learning concepts. This is trade off but in my case proven positive trade off (passed L1 and L2 by first try).
