Want to know what all you L3 guys think of as more important for L2 prep: CFAI EOC’s or the CFAI ‘blue box’ questions? I’m currently reading Schweser, doing their questions and then doing the CFAI EOC for the same reading. I’d like to do blue box as well, but I feel it’s too time consuming doing all those at once and will hinder my progress. If I have time at the end, I can try to hit up the blue box. But overall, which CFAI questions do you think better prepped you for exam day; EOC or Blue Box examples?
If memory serves, blue box examples tend to be simple applications of formulae (relatively speaking ofcourse) while EOC questions contain some twists that go beyond just applying given formulae. The exam always has some combination of low hanging fruit and twists…blue boxes prepare you for the former,EOC questions are more helpful in solving the latter.
EOC - no question. Do them all. Twice.
.
Do both, and do them once as you go and do them again starting a month before the exam.
i did only the schweser eoc . i did them twice. once in first read and once in revision. i found this extremely helpful on exam day. I did not do any cfai questions. But they can only help. I would say go for cfai eoc and ignore blue box. If you have to make a choice. also dont underestimate schweser eoc i think they are very good practice. try to do them twice.
