Okay: it’s tough to get a consensus before results come out, but I’m curious to see what everyone thought. I used Schweser for readings, and did both Schweser and CFAI end of chapter readings. (Note: I tried CFAI texts in the beginning, but abandoned them, due to time constraints and severe boredom). Overall, I’m very impressed by Schweser. I’m not 100% sure that I passed, but that’s not Schweser’s fault. I had major time issues on the am session. I feel that Schweser fully covered almost everything on the tests. I had some gaps in my knowledge here and there, but that was because I merely glanced at a few (seemingly) unimportant topics. I’m sure that I got over 70 in the pm. As far as the morning session, well, I utterly killed the 2007 and 2006 am tests. I also feel that CFAI would not have helped me with my time issues. I could have studied another 500 hours of CFAI, and I still would have needed another 40 minutes to finish that test. Of the readings that I actually did in both CFAI and Schweser (SS 3 & 4), I do not feel that CFAI prepared me any better than Schweser. When you factor in that Schweser readings are half the size of CFAI, Schweser comes out as the winner. But that’s just one man’s opinion. What does everyone else think? Especially people who read both Schweser/Stalla and CFAI.
i did Schweser + CFAI end of the reading problems… atleast Schweser covered each and everything ( unlike L2 where they almost fucked me in Treynor Black ) if i fail this time wouldnt blame schweser at all
