I signed up somewhat late for Level 1 in June and was wondering if it is possible to “move” when I write the exam to December. I don’t want to pay for June and just put in half the effort, fail, and then sign up again for December. Thanks.

Three months to go, it’s not an impossbile task. Since you’ve already paid for the exam and they won’t let you change the date, just try to prepare as much as you can and go for it. But do go sit in the exam, it will help you prepare for Dec.
