It’s a couple of quick click answers and then a box to type comments on your relationship to the applicant and describe the applicants work/CFA related duties. Takes around 10 mins (at least mine did).
I found out the answer to my question and figured I’d share. You need three references, or only two if one is a member of your local society. If you submit two references, the member of your society must provide their CFAI ID# to identify that they are indeed a member, then your two references will be approved. If not, it will wait for you to submit and complete 3 references.
Maybe he was an informed investor.
