Charterholder Salary

Anyone have a link to statistics on mean and median salaries of charterholders broken down by industry and/or years of experience?

*Current* salaries?

man my Level 1 Schweser Review Course teacher in Dallas told us the median salary for CFAs was $200k. I found conflicting results via Google.

Now when examining a chartered financial analyst salary based upon years on experience, the scale is much more linear. A Chartered Financial Analyst with less than one year of experience reported a median salary of $51,046. A CFA with 1-4 years of experience had a salary of $63,898. CFA with 5-9 years of experience reported a median salary of $93,452. More senior CFA with 10-19 years of experience had a median salary of $119,309. The most experienced CFA with 20 years or more of experience had a median salary of $147,260. http://richard-wilson.blogspot.com/2008/10/cfa-salary-average-starting-cfa-salary.html

These lists don’t include those that pass all 3 exams and still don’t get out of the back office.

Also take into consideration where you are working too. Entry level jobs in NYC pay at least 50k-60k for most finance people… well maybe not now, but when I started working thats how it was.

Well you can’t get a CFA with less than four years experience, so I don’t know how they get their numbers. They are different than the CFA institute’s numbers (check executive summary): http://www.cfainstitute.org/memresources/career/surveys.html
