Cheating jihad

So this year CFAI instituted the multiple form tests, presumably to make it tougher to cheat. And judging from my Inbox, there are a lot more people than usual who have been accused of cheating - mostly with pretty flimsy reasons (“candidate appeared to be looking at other people for 5 seconds” that’s cheating? … huh?). I wonder what’s up with them…

Stories from this board had me so spooked that I sat with my hand folded and stared down only at my paper after I finished. I also made a very conscious effort to keep my eyes down and avoid looking anywhere during the exam.

i looked around a lot after i was finished and my paper had been taken away. if they won’t let me leave with half an hour left, what else am i supposed to do?

I sat up and looked around in the PM, wondering if I could hold off a visit to the men’s room for 2 more hours. I scanned the room, wondering where one goes and how fast I could do it. I turned around and saw a proctor looking at me, and I thought “cr*p, I hope that guy doesn’t think I’m trying to cheat!” Fortunately, no CFAI letter so far.

There different forms where there last year too Joey. In fact, in the 2003 CFAI Board of Governors Meeting they already set two MPS’ for two different Level 1 tests (is was regarding December)

^Anyone got an English-to-English dictionary?

If there were different versions of the test last year, there was no discussion about it on AF that I read.

Joey - I took L1 last year, and in subsequent discussion, I recall there were two different tests. the one I took (I believe) was 5050 in the morning and 5051 in the afternoon, but others took (again, I believe) 6060 in the morning and 6061 in the afternoon.

The forms may have been simply different ordering of questions. No need for separate MPS if the actual questions are the same in both forms.

Probably the ordering of answers were changed.

True…very true…

I thought this thread was going to be about how to avoid a subway bomber

Or a suicide bomber who fakes dying and still gets the 72 virgins… Though I think JDV meant a holy war against cheating…with collateral damage!

There were a few discussions about them on the L1 forum. Nothing different than the previous years, just more discussion about it this time around!

Good research, Bleeck. I’m convinced.

well not just L1. it holds true for L2 and L3 as well
