Check out these scary facts

http://www.testprepreview.com/cfa_practice.htm man, even with the test over, I still think about the test everyday. It’s like even if we pass L1, Level 2 looks insane. I had no idea the questions were item sets!!! I hate those, that’s a totally different beast than what we saw on L1 dj

Don’t worry about it. Tons of people here make it through and so will you.

That website looks and reads like something a used car salesman put together! Would you like the rust proof underbody coat with your Level 2 study materials, sir?

> The bar to becoming a CFA has been set incredibly high, but as a result, investors can rest assured that they and their money are well protected when they turn to a CFA. This statement looks good for an ethics question: select the violations this statement makes with respect to the code and standards…there should be 3 violations in there. A fourth might be the claim that investors are protected, not just their money but also they get (apparently physically) protected?

from http://www.testprepreview.com/cfa_practice.htm: "The bar to becoming a CFA has been set incredibly high, but as a result, investors can rest assured that they and their money are well protected when they turn to a CFA.” Multiple ethics violations in one sentence of the intro paragraph. This site looks pretty shady.

LOL. Good point WHODEY.

I’ll be honest, after just writing level two, the item sets are not as difficult as they first appear to be. CFAI is pretty good at laying out the info sequentially so that the data needed for the first question will usually appear before the data needed for the next 5. Also, questions are usually designed so that they aren’t dependant on the answer from the previous question. They are not going to have you calculate the required return in one question and then have you use that to do a DDM valuation in the next. Biggest thing, it is a pile of information. My first recommendation would be to know Equities and FSA inside out. Start with those two. Leave Ethics to the last, so it is fresh in your mind.
