I ordered this after a recommendation by someone on AF a while back: What is Mathematics?: An Elementary Approach to Ideas and Methods by Courant, Robbins & Stewart. Very much looking forward to receiving it. Thanks to whoever recommended it. Am also expecting a Kindle for Christmas. Very much looking forward to receiving that too and not having to buy a book that will sit on my shelf for years and years (i’ve moved a lot of times, this stuff follows your round…)

I asked my mom to get me Fooled by Randomness by Taleeb. She has no idea what the book is about. I just told her to order it off of amazon. I recently read Barbarians at the Gate. I thought it was very interesting. The farther I got into the book, the more it turned into a page turner. I knew KKR got the deal, but the ways things played out were very interesting.
