Coakley Concedes U.S. Senate Race.

Thanks, I’ll do my best! I think I need a hand up though. Or some vodka and pickles.

@ adavydov7 In Soviet Russia, Senate concedes YOU.

^Well come on over we always like to drink our problems away (especially once we realize that we are largely helpless to do anything about them…BTW this is the problem with having a highly educated population-> many of them realize how meaningless they are and start drinking; this is just one of the causes of the high alcoholism rate in my native country) with some vodka and pickles/salo/dried fish!

i have to reject the idea that more a educated society equals a more intoxicated society. see: beverly hills vs. compton see: blue collar workers EVERYWHERE vs. white collar workers EVERYWHERE

It is only a matter of time before Matt brings up Hitler. Just you wait and see. : )

^hahahaha. What would Hitler do in this case, Matt?

just got back from a meeting and i see some class fight here. *sits down with a bucket of popcorn*

@Matt: I don’t think it would in every case either. I was making a case specific statement about my own country. Russians tend be pretty analytical, self-deprecating and un-necesasrily harsh on themselves so you can see how this isn’t a far fetched explanation (one of several though) for why we drink so much. Although your second example may not be the best one if we look at it in terms of actual alcoholic content consumed vs. simple volume (and of course on a per capita basis). PS These Pension Benefit IPS readings are killing me! I really need some vodka now.

WWHD? the funny thing is that I am fighting for the little guy… I guess Hitler was a little guy, once. just because I see good in having a cohesive society doesn’t mean I actually have fascist beliefs. I like to think i have the best of extreme left and extreme right, minus the whole dictatorship thing and a side of non-violence.

I saw alcohol abuse by both dirt poor caddies and super-wealthy golfers. I don’t think that you can say that education level has much of an impact on alcoholism. Also, I don’t think that was advd’s point so let’s not dwell on it.

My only wish is that iheartiheartmath or his current username is here to provoke MattLikesHitler, I mean…MattLikesAnalysis.

SMIRK?

don’t you guys work??? jk

Wealthy people drink a lot too.

Yeah when I think I drink too much, I just remember my Russian friends and think: “Nah, I’m fine!”. Those guys have serious issues, but having a good party with them is awesome. Just never ends.

adavydov7 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Russians tend be pretty self-deprecating This is the revelation of the week for me. Russians are self-deprecating?? LOL

adavydov7 Why don’t you go back to Russia and help your fellow countrymen instead of being a self centered prick? Please help your mother Russia.

I plan on doing that down the road by opening a Russian-centric PE firm or Hedge Fund. For now I need to learn how to do this and gain experience and there is no place better for that than the US. Also I don’t want to get assassinated! PS I am now an American and am focused on helping this country in any way that I can. Funny that you mention being self-centered considering the fact that the economic and social basis for this nation was exactly that! I guess I am true American in the truest sense of the word, in the sense of our fore-fathers not our current demagogue politicians. PSS I love it when people tell me to go back to Russia, I swear its funny how little the mind of person in this country evolves through time. I have been getting this same insult? since the 4th grade! I guess that’s about the same time your brain topped out ha?
