I am have heard both of these terms many times but not certain of the differences. I believe that commercial loans are reserved for larger companies and the products offered are term loans and lines of credit. Corporate loans is I assume basically the opposite in that they are reserved for smaller companies? If this is true then my next question is asset based lending more aligned with corporate loans? thanks, any help is appreciated.
Looks like you have it backwards. Corporate lending is the big loans. These types of loans are typically syndicated among a group of banks. Commercial loans you will see more asset based lending.
