Strongly considering a cold-turkey switch to Dvorak keyboard layout. Any users on AF who have done it or have considered it want to weigh in? Comp_sci, I list you in the post title because I figure you’re most likely to have done it or know people who have. My new job requires gobs of writing, I’ve always thought QWERTY was poorly done, and I’m more and more leaning towards making the switch. screw Dvorak, get data hands: http://www.datahand.com/ Not sure why you’d want to switch to the dvorak considering that most computers you will come across and office areas as well as phones will have you on qwerty.

You can switch keymapping in Windows and Macs alike. It’s just a setting, no different than changing your desktop background or operating system language. And your crazy looking datahand supplier is currently out of stock, awaiting their supplier’s move to a new location. Powerfrown :(((. Have you actually used either Dvorak or Datahand? Because datahand looks insane. I don’t think I’m ready to look like I’m hard-wired into the matrix.

Hey, sorry man, didnt have a chance to reply - got sick pretty bad, so don’t check AF as frequent as i would like. I didnt use DVORAK but a couple of guy in our office (who have chronical wrist pains) use a specially design qwertys to help with hand positioning etc. I can find out what the model is
