Concept questions or Mathematical questions?

Hey guys,

For those of you who took the FRM PART I exam previously, what was approximately the percentage of conceptual questions? And what was the percentage of questions that required formulas and more calculations?

For the calculation questions, did you have to follow the exact calculation procedure or it could work out through educated guess?

I wrote FRM Part I a year ago, in November 2010. The exam was surprisingly quantitative. I don’t remember the exact split between quantitative and qualitative questions. However I do recall that I spent 70%+ of the 4 hours doing math and working on my calculator. It was exhausting.
