Consensus 5 year earnings growth forecast for S&P 500

Anyone know where I can find this?

Forgive me Im a noob.

You can look it up on Bloomberg. I have S&P 500 EPS growth of 9.08% in 2014, 10.54% in 2015, and 10.49% in 2016.

Bloomberg is your best bet. Thomson reuters is another option.

its all crap though. Earnigns estimates are always bloated at the beginning of the year Copy and paste this for a nice chart: · Joshua Brown. The Reformed Broker. Earnings Consensus has Benjamin Button Disease. November 25, 2013.

I agree. I don’t know how anyone can rely on earnings estimate 10 years out.

My cheapo boss will not buy a bloomberg machine. i asked if he was gonna buy one and his response was that its 1,000/month.

I guess I’ll have to try to find on thomson.

It’s only 1k now? That’s about half of what it was before the crisis.

Deflation is serious s#!t, these days…

It was 3.5K ten years ago.

Dang, he’ll definitely never buy.

Maybe you have a chance. It was 3.5K CDN, when the canadian dollar was worth 3/4 of the USD

If you need a 3-5 year growth rate for the S&P 500, i suppose you could use the 3-5 year growth rate for SPY. They currently have it as 11.77% (seems awfully bloated to me, but I’m not a contributing analyst to the estimates) which is based on the consensus estimates from FactSet, I/B/E/S, & First Call based on the underlying holdings… That should be a good proxy for the S&P 500’s estimates, I would suspect.

Bloomberg is still around USD2k a month I think.

Nice chart by the way Neryblop!

You can try at www.reuters.com , www.bloomberg.com or Googlefinance…

Thanks…
