Consolidation question

This is from CFA EOC, question 26 (Intercorporate Investments). In the solution to this question, its shows calcualtion for equity under the Consolidation method as 1430 + 320 =1750, says that we have to add the 320 noncontrolloing interest in Boswell. How is this 320 calculated? My undestanding is that we add the noncontrolling interest in Boswell as 580*50% = 290 (Minority interest) to equity and not 320? 580 is Boswell Total euity =580

It is sort of being discussed in this thread: http://www.analystforum.com/phorums/read.php?12,1131318
