Contesting results: is a remark possible?

I don’t think I did too bad considering how much revision I did and fair enough I did not actually cover the whole syllabus let alone revise, but that’s my fault for being lazy but my results are no worse than alot of people who passed and at the end of the day its the circles that i filled in that matters. Does is count against you with CFA if you are a second timer??? Level 1: Fail The table below illustrates your subject matter strengths and weaknesses. frankly, it does not count how many times you took the exam. I too had similar results in June 2007. Work on the areas which are big areas - FSA, Ethics, Corp Fin to take your score to the above 70% bracket. Also move your Econ score to at least the 51-70% bracket. and come Dec you will pass. Given the larger number of folks who do take the exam in June, the grading curve is bound to be a little stiffer. Rather than waste 100$ on trying to get your results retabulated, which usually also does NOT work, it might make sense to put this behind you, and prepare in right earnest for the December exam, which would be much easier right now, because most of the material is still fresh. Sorry about your close result. CP

If you got $100 why not, you are super close. The only thing I can see is you must have made like a 20 on Econ. Good luck bud.

I wouldn’t bother. Appears too many sections in the 50-70 percent to make it worth it.

It’s hard to say whether or not you’re at the low end of 50-70 or the high end. If you had more sections in the >70, then I’d go for it…

May as well send the $100 to me. It will not make a difference. I think Joey gave up telling people not to do it as it has never ever worked. Perhaps now the CFAI is giving Joey a cut to keep his mouth shut?

I kind of have given up telling people not to do it. It did work for someone once when they regraded those exams in Asia because of some messed up machine somewhere. That chops my knees off when I say it never works. On the other hand, I would rather spend $100 on Powerball tickets.

I am still at a total loss how I could have failed. Scored above 70% in 4 subjects and still failed. Not sure what else these Fcukers want from me. “Level 1: Fail The table below illustrates your subject matter strengths and weaknesses. Your score band below shows how your overall score on the exam compares with all other failed candidates. For example, if your reported score band is 1, you scored in approximately the bottom 10% of failed candidates. If your reported score band is 2, your score was within the next band width ranging from approximately the bottom 11% to 20% of failed candidates. If your score band is reported as 10, you scored in the top 10% of all failed candidates. Performance band of your overall score among all candidates who failed the exam: 10”

To the above I scored 4 >70, two 50-70, and 2 <50 and Failed. Also for above 70 were FSA, Equity, Ethics, PM. Don’t waste your time and money asking for a regrade. Just work harder for next year.

how to get retabulated my exam?i dont see this option in cfa website

Did you just focus on doing more questions?
