Hi guys, I’ve also signed up for the Dec 08 L1 exam. I am in Caracas, Venezuela but am registered for the Miami test center. I don’t know if there is a way to create a different forum for December 08. Maybe just start each post with something like “DEC08”? Anyway, I am still waiting for my books (CFA+Schweser) to arrive even though I was planning on starting in April/May anyway. I know that’s no excuse since we can download SS1 from the CFAI’s website…
I am taking L1 in Dec. Hoping to finish the CFAI text book Vol 1 by end of this month. Starting with posting with DEC08 is a good idea.

Hello, I will also take the Exam in December. I finished Ethis and I hope this week I finisch Economics. I want to have a short run to all the materials and then in the summer study hard on the weak points. If you want I can share a few examples of free questions that I found till now. Do you use Qbank?
OMG! You guys are done with Ethics already?! Ok, gotta start studying… Ok, so I’m off to the beach this Saturday on a short vacation and will start studying on Wednesday when I get back tanned and with a fresh mind!

vikram, I have Schweser notes too…i went through those but CFAI is best. Since we have time, we should read CFAI textbooks for most of the stuff.

Alex, Thanks for taking initiative and creating the yahoo…group !! online groups & forums are great motivators when you prepare for exams like these juggling your full time job and compromising family responsibilities if any. These groups and forums helped me in big way when I took GMAT last year… I encourage ppl appearing for level 1 in december to join the yahoo group. If we have nice community working towards common goal, we wont feel isolated…!! BTW, I am at Reading 7 in Quant, doing statistics and probability. This is just easy for me because of my engg background… Today planning to go to library and put in long haul… Hope everyone is doing fine…
Well, I finally got my CFAI books on Friday and started going over Ethics over the weekend. Still wating for my Schweser notes. I’m planning on studying 2 hours Tue-Friday and 3-4 on Sat-Sun (with a small baby it’s hard for me to do any more than that). Monday will be my day off to do some yoga or something. Yes, I signed up for the Yahoo! Group too. Happy Monday!
