result : pass I did not do well on FRA and Corp Fin (both >50 and <70). My study strategy was just reading CFA books …used Schweser to see few questions…but dint really use it. I think the most helpful resource was AF. I thought ppl came up with great questions…thanks everyone. I have been just skimming thru all the posts…I am still not sure who lied about his/her passing the exam…its a shame to lie on this forum… Good luck guys for level 2 …I will take it next yr June. Folks who did not pass this time…no need to worry…(99% work 1% crucial luck)

Everybody who missed the cut stay up and keep up the good fight. If I could have picked a good job or passing this, I’d go good job 10 days out of 10, for what it’s worth.
How does getting a job and passing the level 1 CFA have anything to do with each other. Why would you have to pick one or the other.

They could tie to eachother if having the L1 passed was a requirement of the job (very unlikely), but moreso I wasn’t saying they are - I was commenting that if I could pick between the two (which I can’t and don’t have to), I’d take the job over the pass. I was making this statement because it’s accurate for me, and because of some of the comments others made derogatorily about someone who failed.
I didnot pass or fail. My exam got deferred to June 2010 due to road strike in Nepal. That too to be realized on exam day after studying like a dog for 3 months. =D BEATT THATTTTTTTTTT guys !
