There are endless issues here (unfortunately).

  1. As CT said a while earlier, like most Indians are I for some time was too critical of critisicm by westerners… This is changing now, Indians have started listening a bit more irrespective of where critisicm comes from.

  2. Another valid point CT raised was the MOB RULE. In India a mob rules and you can do nothing when you are in a mob (pretty much)… Even the police here fear a mob. I really dont know how this can be changed though :frowning:

  3. While we are talking about Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Bangalore etc - these constitute tiny part of India. The majority of Indians are still stone aged… Showing a bit of skin can literally turn them on… And since rural population is migrating to the cities in search of jobs, the problem is compounded!!!

  4. Its a million dollar question as to why Indians are still sexually regressed… This is the land of Kama sutra, the land where numerous sculptures explain polygamy/monogamy and what not… You got to see Sun temple konark to understand what I mean… Seriously I dont know why we changed this way…

One of the biggest reasons is that this land has been under threat for centuries together now… From the Persians, the Mongols and what not… Because of this, the societies became self centered and survival became more important. Because of this people became more immoral and the result is there for all of us to see!!!

My heart goes out to the family of the young girl and for a moment I feel a little ashamed to call myself a man you know!! Well how do you look at your mother or your wife when such an incident happens in the country…

  1. Shariah laws are needed to get back the society in order.

  2. Indians are mighty pissed off with this, thankfully. Its an opportunity for the society to change, hopefully the government takes some actions in the form of stricter laws.

  3. As a parent, each of us have a responsibility to leave a better kid for the world; while we only talk about leaving a better world for the kids. I am sure I will be teaching my 7 year old son to respect girls/ladies!

Err…I don’t think there’s any evidence that women born into elite families are less likely to be aborted, plus dowries are even higher. You have to be smoking to think women arent singled o ut for this treatment, haven’t even gotten to the abuse women face on buses, trains etc.

but yes, I do agree that it is a consequence of " life is sh_t for everyone".

1)star world is a complete subsidiary of rupert murdoch.anything associated with him is complete sleaze.

2)i could not wrap my head around the logic of people in the show.the mother in law tried to kill them because she thought females were inferior yet had two daughters herself.

3)they then shot a rural family where the mother had no problem with her kid.fair enough but people are individuals and the whole show screamed ‘agenda’.

most common causes are

very crude reasons but it sounds more plausible.im sure there’s more detailed stuff on the net which can back me up

90% of those reasons dissapear if you’re educated and middle class.

Obviously I am not asking for complete implementation of Shariah law. Just the part as in Saudi where a rape accused is just stoned to death. In short very strict punishment for rape accused, nothing more.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the news is real, many Saudi mullahs are pretty fucked up and every few months they come up with something which brings religion and Muslim community to shame. Except for the lot who has never seen a classroom, nobody takes their FATWAS seriously.
