Desktop Speakers?

What are you guys using for quality desktop speakers? I’m looking at some new ones under US$250. Considering Kanto YU2 and Audioengine A2+ right now, but open to other ideas??

I bought these about 2.5 years ago. Good sound quality. Still going strong.

I bought these in 2009 for $112. They now sell used anywhere from $300-$500. The next generation of these speakers was a serious downgrade for Logitech from what I’ve read. Something to do with material and several specs to the subwoofer. Anyway, I still use these 7 years later after heavy use. One speaker randomly will not work for a while and then work…not quite sure what’s up…but these are the best I’ve ever owned.

^ Oh yeah? Vinyl FTW.

I had Klipsch build cochlear nerve implants for me.

desktop speakers remind me of my old boss. he always forgot he had them. on several occasions he’d start watching a porn clip and the groaning would blast over the speakers. …old people and technology, hilarity ensues.

This is for home office use. Headphones aren’t always comfortable. What else would you use other than desktop speakers?

Naw. Not as good sounding in most cases as the digital master…they just take the digital master and press it to vinyl (adding a bunch of electronics in the signal path, loses resolution, gains noise).
