I’ve never been to Detroit before, but it looks as though I will have a full weekend in August to kill in any way that I see fit. I’ll have a car and an expense account. What would you do? One possibility is driving to Chicago, but I don’t know much about Detroit and think it would be cool to see whatever that city offers (if there is anything left, that is). Thanks.
There was a homie on the board called Detroiter whom talked like he was in Eminem’s crew. He got banned pretty quick for p!ssing people off. You could search his name perhaps?
I spent a few days in Detroit a couple of years ago for a conference and was pleasantly surprised by the waterfront area at the Renaissance Center. There is a monorail that takes you around the downtown, so you can easily catch a Tiger’s game or get dinner in Greektown. You can also grab a bus across the river to hit the casinos in Windsor. The area immediately surrounding the Renaissance Center is kind of dead after 5:30 though.
