Well, I guess I’m one of the few that failed in this thread 
First CFA exam attempt and I failed, band 8. Just signed up for December 3rd attempt 2.
I used Schweser last time but I’m thinking of using strictly CFAI this time. Debating whether 4 months is enough time to switch it up since it’ll be much more extensive reading.
Failed; Band 9; this is my first time sitting for L1
FRA, QM <50
Econ, Ethics, FI >70
Studying: 400+ hours; 4 mock exams (scored between 50-60%)
My background: Chemistry. I’m surprised I did so well (but I should have done better at QM). I plan to retake L1 in June 2017. Hopefully the extra study time for level 1 will make me better prepared for level 2.
