different exams

There are 2 different versions of the lvel 2 exams right? I took it in Hong Kong so might be different than you guys. I hope that is the case, because some of these questions you guys are talking about I have no recollection of them at all… Anyone remember their test version number? I think mine was either 6060 or 8080

I took in Atlanta and test version was 5151 or 5050. Didn’t know there were 2 different versions.

mine was 5050 and 5151

ok then yea there were two different exams…there were 2 different tests last year in L1 too

Yep - 6060 (Sunday), you’re right that there are 2 different exams, because some of the questions discussed were not on the exam I did (or my memory is worse than I think) Anyway, I agree with most people that the exam was not too bad.

I took it in Korea, and mine was 6060 for AM, 6161 for PM. It seems some questions are overlapped and somes are not, such as # of company by HHI - I haven’t seen it.

two different exams: asian pacific guys got a hard question “emerging market valuation” we didn’t get.

in sydney - i did version 6060 in morning and 6161 in afternoon. so i’m sittin’ here reading all these posts about questions i have no recollection of - maybe my brain blocked them out - or maybe I just bombed - very depressing. Now I read that there were different versions of the exams !?!?!?!? can somebody please confirm/clarify?? Most of the questions sound the same as what I do remember - but maybe they changed just the A/B/C/D order to prevent time-zone arbitrage - (?)

the exam was on Sunday in asia instead of sat ? Am I correct

yes, so we went in to the AM session (Sunday our time) a couple of hours after the end of the PM session in the US (east coast - saturday their time). So it makes sense for CFAI to mix up the answers - but still keep the overall content the same so it is standard world-wide - or maybe they actually use some different questions altogether (?) dunno…

yeah, no corp finance gimmes in asia.

my friends in middle-east r giving same comments about overall exam, they gave exam on saturday as well…so did they also get a different version? or is it just two different versions for two different days…

looks like ethics wasnt the same either.6060/6161 in asia on 8th jun

I took the exam in Singapore and the quesitons are different. We did encounter M&A but i did not see any questions asking about the value of the merger to target and acquirer. Instead we had to calculate the take over premiun

Exactly these questions are tough, i didn’t expect them at all ( took the test in Singapore)

No believe me I took the exam in Singapore and I had no clue about some of the questions you guys were talking about. At first i thought maybe i forgot but until I see that we had emerging market evaluation and you guys don’t. That’s how i figured it out. But most of the questions are the same

I took it in London - 5050 and 5151 most of the questions you guys talking about I recollect but not all.

You are all right. They always have 2 paired three different versions normally by geographical region.

Some of the vignettes were the same but different questions asked, and/or slightly different information in the vignettes. But also some vignettes were completely different. Shame we got stuck with emerging markets.
