Distribution Phase

For time horizons, in some examples the CFAI includes the distribution phase as one of the time horizons and in others I don’t see it mentioned. Unless the question specifically mentions managing the estate after death, gifting assets, charitable bequets, etc… should we exclude distritbution as one of the time horizons?

I think that’s a fair assumption.

If the case study didn’t mention any desire for charity, estate, gift etc, then time horizon ends when the person dies.

If it is mentioned, than the time horizon would be multigenerational covering after death objectives
