Second and third, however, are my horse and my dog.
Cats > dogs. Superior in just about every way.

I think cats could be OK if I ever saw them, but most people I know with cats hardly see them… They’re always running away.

They’re large land animals that weigh over 1,000 lbs, have no natural predators, but still get spooked by everything.
^ And they have freaky teeth.
Girls seem to love them though. I was at the rodeo a few days ago and this ridiculously hot girl ignored her bf for a good 20 minutes just to hug the horses. Women are odd creatures.

I didn’t see. If It was obvious, I’d have tried to make a “hung like a horse” joke and tried to unseat her bf for the night.
We have two cats who are an absolute hoot.
But they’re not much use as jogging companions.

Cats and I don’t get along. Otherwise they seem like reasonable animals to keep around, keeping rodents at bay.
until cats are skilled retrievers in water, particularly retrieving ducks, they will be inferior to dogs.
I used to rob houses for kicks when I was younger and do have to admit that I stayed away from the houses with cats. Best guard animals ever (you try getting cat hair off of a black hoodie).
maybe the fact they have no natural predators always keeps them the lookout for a predator. they have no relative comparison about who is good and who is bad. it’s all good but they obsess about something bad. brilliant. maybe they just know they’re delicious and think that everyone wants a bite? vane a$$holes.
