After tax season is over, I’m going to try to find some “foreign help” that came come in for a couple hours twice a month.

I don’t mind picking up and washing dishes, but I want somebody to do the stuff that I’m not going to do, like dusting, cleaning showers and toilets, etc.

I have maids come every other week for the deep clean. The crappy part about having maids come over is the cleaning you have to do just so that they can clean. I don’t want them messing up any of my stuff or wasting time doing easy things like dishes and laundry. I need them hitting the baseboards, windows, stoves, scrubbing, metal polishing etc. If I had kids I would probably bump it to every week though. The money spent is well worth the time saved.

Edit: by “maids” I mean an army of latinas that turn your place upside down. No joke I came in once while they were going to town on the pad and two of them were holding up the couch while the third was vacuuming under it. Same couch that me and one of my meathead buddies had struggled getting up the stairs. Wife would never do that stuff. Worth every dime if you ask me.

I wish I could hire an army of Latinas to come do things that my wife would never do. Don’t know that she’d go for it.

How much you fools paying per cleaning? I’m shelling out 100 for 2 hours of work. It’s generally done by 2-3 people

So you pay $100 for 6 man-hours? Or $16 per hour? Sounds pretty cheap.

No maid, but I have 2 nannies. One usually does some cleaning while the other watches the kids. I have a coworker who has a fulltime (40 hours/week) housekeeper, and I was debating whether or not to get one of those too since my apartment is always a mess even with the nannies helping.

You make mid-eight figures a year in municipal bond interest, hire two nannies (one to watch kids and the other to clean), live in an apartment, and it’s still always a mess. Amiright6?
