Do You Recieve Full Credit If You Show No Work?

For the essay portion, if a question requires calculations, do you receive full credit for your answer if you show no work? Or if your work is not what the CFAI teaches you? (but you still get the right answer) I am asking because when I studied for my Series 7, I learned how to calculate option payoffs much more quickly than the CFAI material does in the EOC questions. (Reading 42).

as far as i know, you need to show your work. You can get partial credit if you show your work and come to the wrong answer. I think even just putting down the correct equation gives you partial credit.

look at the old essays they have released. the written questions dont seem that bad
