DOES THIS ERROR MEAN I FAILED?

I just went on the CFAI website, Candidate Resources and clicked on Registration Confirmation and I got an Error:

WF_ERR-CUSTOM_1: No Registration was found for Person Id “xxxxxxx” in Program ‘CFA’ (SBL-BPR-00131)

I guess it means I failed the exam.

Go to access 2017 scholarship. If it says on the screen you’re not eligible for scholarship…then you passed. At least that’s the prevailing assumption at this point.

It says: “The access Scholarship for the 2017 exams is now available”, which means I FAILED.

No, it just means you didn’t register for an exam - since you know, you’re waiting for LIII results

Can you please check that too?

Everyone has that error… it doesnt mean anything.

Have this as well

Thank you Alisha. I guess I am just freaking out right now.

I don’t have a link to apply for Access Scholarship anywhere on the page.

To See the access scholarship,

1). Login to member page 2.) In search box " apply Scholarship" 3.) scroll to bottom of scholarship page, click to apply 4.) As soon as you click to apply, you should see a link in your “Manage applications” profile.

this is where some people are seeing either 1 or two messages and there is another thread about this.

Thank you. I see 2 messages there.

Wait a minute, it allows me to begin the application process for 2017 scholarship, I got to a page asking for references and a short description why I want to earn the CFA Charter…that means I failed???

I don’t know why I’m entertaining this, but we’re already through the looking glass, so…

  1. Are you a CFA member or just a candidate (did you get work approval yet)?

  2. Are you an affiliate?

3: Did you feel you passed?

For the record, I felt I passed and I’m a CFA member (not a charterholder, of course). I have both messages.

Before we jump to conclusions…are you a CFA member or a candidate only?

The point is not whether you can proceed to apply for the scholarship.

It is whether you have “Not eligible for scholarship” or do not - if you have it, possibly passed. If you don’t, possibly failed.

Its well explained, with illustrations and examples, in the other thread.

I dig what you’re saying, but I was trying to eliminate as many variables as possible. A big variable (outside of exam results, of course, is if you’re a CFA member or not).

  • I am a L3 candidate only.

  • I felt that I did Ok, but with this exam you never know.

This “hints,” I’d stop short of saying “it signifies” that the variable is not CFA membership status.

What changes if you are a Member or a Candidate?

I can not see the “no eligible” box, and I am a regular member (work experience approved).

It was simply another variable.
