…all seriousness aside, when I’m watching him speak right now I feel like someone just died… anyone else?
Yes- it’s a very grim feeling. I’m not joking but to me, a person in finance, this feels like a bit like 9/11. So grim and so surreal. And I can’t turn off CNBC or Bloomberg. I’m not in a major finance city so it’s a time where I only want to talk and be around to people that understand how huge this is. It amazes me how some people have no idea what’s going on and how big this is- they’re walking around with a smile on their face, clueless.
they said tourists in new york thought a celebrity was coming out of 745 broad

How people can stand outside of a Lehman Brothers Building with the huge lit up sign and think it has something to do with Paris Hilton or Diddy. Lol god the ignorance is amazing…
sic right and it is tough to have them interviewing employees clearing their desk … I work in NYC and it is grim … I was just mentioning to my husband when was the last time I was this glued to CNBC and WSJ … .katrina and 9/11 … it is a very major milestone …
Well when you’re right, you’re right. This is not good for people who work in or are trying to start a career in finance. It will be interesting to see the long lasting effects from this past week. As much as people try to predict what finance (and the world economy) will look like in 5 years, its just impossible to tell. It literally ranges from deep global depression to being just fine. I’m betting somewhere in the middle.
Yup, I was thinking the same thing.
