Well, okay then - in your terms of pure “weight”, if you’re saying that eating in a caloric deficit doesn’t make you lose weight, what does eating in a caloric surplus do? I’m all ears.
Please, enlighten us on how to lose “weight”. Also, please define “weight” when you do so.
My point is that it’s a broad brush approach that’s designed to be used as a very general guide. Somehow that’s been lost over the years and people take it as gospel and bleat it as if it’s an absolute fact ignoring all nuance. I’d expect better from analysts in high finance.
Hormones, the type of calories consumed and when they’re consumed have a huge effect on fat/muscle gain/loss.
Dear God… If you burn 3000 calories in a day, and you eat 2,900 calories worth of pop-tarts you will still lose weight/fat just as you would eating 2,900 calories worth of salmon (which is a ton of salmon btw).
Do yourself a favor, and go do a google (image) search on “IIFYM Results”. Micronutrients can come from a bottle.
edit: here I did it for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFTT-Nvqq6E
So some people anecdotally lost fat/weight doing IIFYM and that proves your point?
Google leptin resistance, the effect of sleep patterns and diet on cortisol, the effect of cortisol on visceral fat storage, food induced chronic inflammation, and the effect of testosterone on fat loss.
