Completely agree. Alcohol is way worse. Why is pot so taboo? Give me a freakin’ break. I hope to see it legalized so that we can stop wasting tax dollars on the war on drugs, keep good people out of prison and eliminate its blackmarket and all of its negative effects.

I dunno. I don’t think pot is so bad. But the line ought to be drawn somewhere, and it generally looks pretty blurry on either side of the line (alcohol, cigarettes, pot).

As far as drugs in Finance. . . probably would be on par with the level of drug usage for the entire population.

Phelps just made himself out to be an idiot. I’m not saying he’s the leader of youth or a spokesperson for US Olympics, but with his profile wouldn’t you think someone like him would be more careful and not smoke pot in public at a party?

I really don’t know why everyone on all the blogs want to start the ‘pot is ok’ thread. The fact is Pot isn’t accepted in most of the countries where Phelps is raking in the millions of dollars. Regardless if this is right or wong, Phelps is an idiot. I hope he is happy flushing $100 million down the drain so he can be the spokesdork for NORMAL.

i’ve seen colleagues and finance professionals do all types of stuff, but nothing that involved syringes

I’m the only one in my group that hasn’t smoked pot - some have in the last year as far as I know.

kinda risky in this environment, who knows when you are going to have to look for a new job. As far as I know all job do a pre-employment drug test, I worked for one company that made us take random drug tests throughout the year too.
