DTA and DTL offset

Is there any reason for not offsetting DTA with DLA? Both would be used against future pretax income/loss.

Don’t offset cause the nature of the temporary differences that cause them is different.

There is a possibility that they may reverse.

Some accounting regulatory bodies allow the netting off of DTA and DTL if under the income tax they can be set off.
