Duration of a bond

Does a fixed rate bond issuer always have a negative bond duration (i.e -0.6)? If yes, does that mean that the investor in a fixed rate bond always have a positive bond duration (0.6) ?

Yes, and yes.

Oh, and the durations should be, respectively, −0.6 _ years _ and 0.6 _ years _. They’re not just numbers; they have units (years).

WOW… Thanks Magician

You’re welcome.
