Thanks, but I think it’s more a matter of skill set than actually what you know. I may know a lot more than them but couldn’t read off a teleprompter to save my life, so in some perverse way I actually admire some of them for what they do.

First, what was the extent of their experience. I forget who I was reading about, but she worked at Goldman as a IB analyst for a year, washed out and became a journalist. Now shes on TV spouting at the mouth like she is some market soothsayer. Suze Orman is a crook. That batch is known to have grossly stretched the significance and extent and of her experience at Merrill. Then there is that douchebag who owns the website capitalist pig – another Warren Bluffet. This jerk-off claims he is some kind of trading guru who once had a seat on the CBOT. I saw him try and challenge some PM from a BB asset management group regarding a fundamental economic concept, the PM lit this guys argument up like it was the fourth of July. In a nutshell, I’m sure some of these journalist were brilliant practitioners. But if they were brilliant and have such passion, why aren’t they still practicing, particularly the younger cohort?
I would agree that a year or two of experience doesn’t mean a whole lot, but I think that in Erin Burnett’s (and maybe even Trish Regan’s) case, even if she was good at banking, she is still probably making a lot more money now than she would’ve if she had staying in banking. I can understand why she made the move if she had enough confidence to believe that she could be CNBC’s lead anchor one day.
I saw David Faber at a Media conference once. He was just standing there real still, looking like a weird miniature manikin, or, a fancy umbrella stand.
I know a chick who dated Faber in the mid-90’s, she said he was very self-conscious about being short. I think he’s a good reporter though.

Rick Santelli is very short. He is seen around Chicago on the train, etc.
I don’t know Santelli but I know someone who traded with him years ago and said he was the nicest guy in the world but couldn’t handle an order to save his life. In his case he definitely made the right move getting into broadcasting.
Yeah I see Santelli all the time. He’s like 5’5, frail thin, and a huge chain smoker. Try walking behind him sometime on his path to the CBOT, your lungs will be clogged by the time you reach your destination.
I like Santelli. One of the better CNBCers. He always seems to be very excited about talking about the commodities and futures markets, at least judging from his voice!
When Santelli smiles he reminds me of the Joker.

They don’t know what they’re talking about, but they can get away with it if they sound excited enough. Santelli is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to excitement, if not stature. I will give him this though: At least he is not as annoying as Erin Bitchnett.

Is Alicia Layne the Philly anchor? Yeah Dylan absolutely makes over 500k and prob somewhere a little over a Mill…I referenced that Alicia Layne salary also.
Anyone else agree they need to can Dennis Kneale… I wrote a letter to GE telling them that and someone from the help desk stated it would be forwarded to management.

I also can’t stand Steve Liesman.
It could be Alicia, I don’t remember exactly what her name was off hand.
That new blonde is smokin hot! Is there a correlation to the bust line of the female anchors’ shirts and market performance? Lower = Higher? If so, we need a topless show asap!!!
lately I started liking margaret brendon…and her smile.
I used to see Alexis Glick all the time when she was a managing director at Morgan Stanley. Very good looking face but had the most humongous @ss you will ever see on someone that size. It was literally like her head and upper body were superimposed on Oprah’s lower body, very weird looking.
