I thought of this a month or two ago. Use it if it helps. Sometimes I remember stories like this. --------------------------------- So you were sitting at your cube on a cool crisp Autumn day and the good ‘ol boss comes up and says to you “hey buddy” I need you to calculate GDP for that country with long river (the Nile) in Africa and not using the C + I + G + (X-M) method, but that other one. You say – sure man – I’ll send over in a couple minutes, knowing you have the formula saved on your desktop for easy reference. He gleefully walks back to his office and seconds later your computer’s screensaver comes up and you freeze for a second as you just blanked on your password. And then you think – man, I wish I could remember the password (PW) to my computer so I could send that GDP calculation over to my boss. Then you start to think that your password just drifted out of your mind like the long river Nile flowing out of that country. “Mnemonic: PW DRIFT” --------------------------------- Income Measure of GDP, sum of: Profit Wages Depreciation Rents Interest income Foreign N.I. Trading
nice I like it. I struggle to remember these type of things so these things are always helpful.
Phillip.Platt FTW!
Thanks, good stuff! Let us know if you come up with any other “stories”
