Higher interest rates generally attract capital and increase the domestic currency value. Pg 117 Schweser Book 2. This is completely opposite of what interest rate parity suggests in a different study session. Anyone figured it out? Thanks!!
I think it had to do with persistent high rates which leads to high inflation and drives away investors , versus a Government stimulus of a short duration that attracts hot capital flow in .
