Danny Boy it’s St Patty’s day - we should be slamming green beers before making investment decisions, not arguing about actuarial pay. Cheers to you sir.

You guys have to show some restraint when discussing any issues related to Top 3 MBA programs, Top 3 Investment Banks, or Top 3 Consulting firms, Top 3 … Numi has worked very hard to differentiate himself from the riffraff, so please talk about anything else but the Top 3 Awesomest Anything.

ocd is a not-so-silent killer

IEV is right, you need a top GPA from a top school to just get an interview. If you are a rhodes scholar or something, then you are in. Good GPA from top school seems to be fine for getting interviews at other consulting firms like CG, BCG etc.

My GF works at one of these places and didn’t go to a top 5 MBA or anything, although she works with a lot of them. Basically you need an edge, like good international connections, unique industry knowledge or demonstrated awesome leadership skills in addition to being presentable, articulate and intelligent. She did two and a half years and is moving to an international conglomerate in corporate M&A now. Like I said before, it’s fun for a while but living out of a suitcase and taking Sunday night flights to the client location gets old.

Hahahaha, let’s call numi Captain Top Three. I don’t really want to, but I’m going to defend CT3. Since last Fall when his MBA began and after having classes with a number of really accomplished people, I think he has realized he’s not the ultimate sh!t, and therefore his level of pretentiousness has decreased. Not by much, but it’s a start. Best results are achieved in year two. Oh, and his description of the McKinsey recruiting process is accurate.

Hahaha CT3 has gotten a little more swagger though too. Slightly different style these days, but I personally like it. He’ll call a b!tch a b!tch.

He’ll call a b!tch a b!tch. That’s because CT3 is getting angry. He’s got more anger to his posts, I like that. Ruthless King Kong CT3. I’m afraid if he doesn’t make it into a TOP 3 job once he’s done he’s going on a killing rampage .

Regarding the original topic. Does anyone have a link to a transcript of the tapes? I have listened to them, but I can’t really find an obvious problem there. Then again, Ethics is not really my strong point in the CFA curriculum.

@Palantir, see link below: http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/03/11/when-raj-rajaratnam-talks-people-listen/

Colonel Top 3.

Hahaha, and it wouldn’t be an ordinary killing rampage. It would be, yes, a Top 3 massacre. Watch out Ted Bundy, you’ll be demoted soon by CT3.
