Anyone know whether its possible to find an equity or fixed income analyst (or even research associate) position in Jacksonville, Florida?
Florida is pretty slim for those opps. Jax has some, smaller shops mostly. You’ll find more opps in So. Fla. or Atlanta.
Yeah, it looks like Atlanta will be my best bet. Damn Florida and its lack of prestigious finance positions!

Florida is a tough, tough market to land those types of jobs. Evergreen/Wachovia has some buyside jobs in Jacksonville. After that there are only small shops, and I mean small. There are more jobs of that nature in South Florida and Tampa however it’s competitive. Pretty much any NYC analyst looking to move on will be applying to a HF or Buyside job in Miami, Tampa, etc.
