Ethics contradiction?

Am I right in thinking that in the standards, you can show a company a draft report as long as it doesn’t have any opinions etc in it. In the ROS, you can’t show any part of report to a company before publication?

both are consistent, both say you can show facts only but it has to go through compliance/legal dept. ros expands on it and says that compliance/legal should approve any and all changes to facts and recommendations after the client saw the document.

Thanks mate!

The research & objectivity standards only *recommend* that compliance & legal departments receive a draft of a research report *prior* to the subject company. They don’t recommend that the subject company never see the draft prior to publication.
