Ethics on Actual Test

I have heard that Ethics on the actual test is quite tricky. Is it hard or just confusing? Also are there questions where the vignette appears to have more than one violations with two correct answer choices?

hard and confusing - both. Many questions had 2 answers which were very close.

I went through all the end of book questions in the CFAI ethics book and thought they were very intuitive and I was able to get 90% right. Are they not reflective of what the real ethics questions are like?

yeah… reall ethics is not straightforward at all. You could explain from at least two answers…

cfaboston, Any good suggestions on how to better prepare for ethics? I’ve only done the CFAI ethics questions so far. Thanks!

I think going through Schweser, Book 1, and looking at all the examples helps too…

Yup, I got all wrong with Schweser volume 1

I’m also going to look at my Schweser Level 1 Ethics book to rehash that. Might not matter though.

How would you compare the ethics questions from CFA Sample & Mock exams in terms of difficulty and trickiness? Are they not reflective of actual ethics questions on the exams?

The purpose of the Mock and sample exam are to get use to teh CFA questioning technique. So they are just like what would be on the test.
