The Code and Standards don’t require you to escalate it, the employee may make an informed decision on the appropriate course of action (that is permissible by the Code and Standards), or consult first with a supervisor/compliance officer. If an employee where to consult a supervisor about material nonpublic information, it must be a designated compliance supervisor (not simply your boss).
